Captain Henry Waterhouse Reserve Wedding CeremonyPierra and Jake married at Captain Henry Waterhouse Reserve, Kirribilli in an intimate Harbourside wedding ceremony with their closest family and friends.
The reserve is in such a stunning setting by Sydney Harbour with the city skyline, Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the background. You wouldn't know if from the images but it was the windiest afternoon we have ever experienced setting up a wedding and wind is not a florists best friend. Into our tool kit for sandbags and rope to secure the arbour and the flowers held beautifully. Stunning quicksand roses in blush and playa blanca roses in ivory tones with the addition of a gorgeous orchid in Pierra's bouquet were used to create the arrangements. Peirra and Jake's dog was a cute little ring bearer and the wind blew the veil from Pierra's hair and it was somehow caught as it blew past by one of the guests. There will be plenty of stories from this windy wedding ceremony they can retell for years to come. After wandering from Captain Henry Waterhouse reserve, Kirribilli along the harbourside to Luna Park. Pierra and Jake then made their way to The Waterfront Function Centre for a celebration with all of their friends and family. When planning a ceremony at Captain Henry Waterhouse, Kirribilli be sure to be flexible with your ceremony location. There are often multiple weddings in the area at the same time and we often arrive to ceremonies already set up in the area. Garden Wedding SydneyJake and Rebecca said their I-do's in a beautiful garden wedding in Sydney's Nurragingy reserve. The Jannawi wedding garden is perfectly placed next to a stunning pond with ducks floating around and the breeze blowing through the low trees.
Their day was originally meant to go ahead at the Nesuto Leura Gardens Hotel in the Blue Mountains but unfortunately due to the Sydney lockdowns the hotel was closed a few weeks before Jake and Rebecca's wedding day. They then settled on the Nurragingy reserve and then La Nina popped her head up. The week before the wedding was spent with Rebecca organising a gazebo as a wet weather back up as the forecast looked like heavy rain. Luckily there was no need for the gazebo, we woke up on the day of the wedding to beautiful blue skies and they were able to have the garden wedding they had been dreaming of. Our copper arch was set up with draping ivory silk and a garden wedding garland to recreate a similar backdrop to what they would have had on a beautiful old tree in the Blue Mountains. Rebecca's bouquet was cascading with dark foliage's combined with premium seasonal blooms in soft tones of pinks, purples and whites. Rebecca and Jakes ceremony was created in conjunction with the Pop up Elopements team who we love working with. We all communicate with each other behind the scenes to ensure your planning and your day are as easy and beautiful as possible. Celebrant - Amanda Knapton - A Celebrations Day Photography - Bedford Photography Florals - Floral Fix Flower Crown Workshop SydneyFor Laura's flower crown workshop we headed to leafy Gymea. We had so much fun helping these ladies create their bright and colourful crowns.
For our flower crown workshops we allow you to choose your tones and the mix of hot pink, soft pinks and whites matched perfectly to the bride to be in fuscia pink and her tribe in white. Included in the flower crown workshops are the wire base to create your crowns on, scissors, tape and a large range of seasonal flowers. Generally the worshops run from 1 /12 - 2 hours depending on the group. Laura's ladies were very speedy and had their wonderful crowns whipped up in no time. We help every step of the way so that everyone has a crown to wear into the night. Audley Dance Hall WeddingHolly and Liam married at Reid Flats for an Audley Dance Hall Wedding celebration.
Holly and her maids spent the morning getting ready at Reid's Cottage, such a gorgeous space overlooking the river. The path to the cottage was covered in gum leaves that last weeks wedding party had punched hearts in to make natural confetti, such a lovely sight to arrive to! The cottage is perfectly positioned allowing Holly and her maids to walk from the cottage down a few steps to the ceremony by the river. We created abundant florals in tones of blush, soft pinks, apricots, whites and burgandy. After the ceremony by the river at Reid flats, just as the rain was starting to fall the celebration moved on to the Dance Hall for a long lunch, An Audley Dance Hall wedding is always one of our favourites to create, so many ceremony options, the dance hall is a blank canvas and the staff there go above and beyond. There is also the added bonus of having backup options to fall back on if there is rain forecast for your day. Setting up wedding flowers in this spot is one of my favourites. The stunning view across the bay never disappoints, today there were kookaburras laughing in the tress and pelicans floating out at sea all combining to create such a magical, relaxing setting. Premium seasonal flowers with the additional of a phalenopsis orchid (Lisa’s favourite) in tones of blush, white, soft pink and burgundy were mixed with textural elements to create a bohemian style wedding bouquet which tied in with Lisa’s stunning wedding gown and the tones in her daughters flower girl dress. Our new Copper wedding arbour was shining in the sun for this Darook Park wedding to which we added lush florals to tie in with the bouquet and was full of movement and texture, placed in front was one of Lisa’s favourite rugs from their home was placed in front of the arbour for them to stand on. With restrictions still in place the ceremony was live streamed to those who couldn’t attend in person. A circle of love was created by sprinkling rose petals in tones of peach, yellow, orange, white, red and blush to represent each daughter who was unable to be there today. The arch was left in place after the ceremony for the florals to be enjoyed with post ceremony drinks and a first wedding dance before Lisa and Peter took the florals with them for a relaxed wedding dinner at Queen Margheritas, Cronulla. What we love about Audley Dance Hall is that they have the perfect wet weather back up option on their deck. It takes all of the stress out of a rainy week in the lead up to your wedding, where it may be raining on your day or soggy underfoot by the river. Large enough to have chairs set up and standing room behind into the dancehall it's the prefect elevated spot overlooking the river for your ceremony.
